Title: Laptop under 1000 that will run Oblivion, quake 4, batman and prince of persia?

Is this the right section to post this? I know the last 2 are pushing it but the first 2 are at least pretty old. Reason why I ask is because Im being deployed for an overseas contracting job soon but cant take 360 or desktop so I need a laptop that can atleast play games pre-oblivion. Would buy the last 2 for the 360 but I will be gone for a while.

Think it should be under Other Games.  If you can find that kind of laptop I'm all in for one too.

I have one of these:  HP Pavilion dv3-1075ca Entertainment Notebook PC (http://h20386.www2.hp.com/CanadaStore/Product.aspx?pdetail=P71529).  It costs under $1000 Canadian, so I am sure the US version (dv3-1075us) would be similar.  It should be powerful enough for what you want.

HP kinda fell off the wagon with me a few years ago when my friend was having problems with her desktop...it also reminds me of my ex.... :eyejar

How is it working for you?

It works great.  I can do video editing with it, and I haven't had trouble running anything on it thus far.
