Well, I've decided to release it, but I have a very important request to make! Apparently, I shuffled files around at some point, and I lost my Question, Brave and Bold, and Green Arrow missions! Does anyone have an early version of the DCUG? If you've got those missions and story files, it would be a huge help. I really hope I haven't lost those forever, because I doubt I could ever really recreate them! Please, someone tell me that you've got this lying around somewhere. I really don't want to have lost these.

Well, as it turns out, I forgot until now that on my computer, (which I hardly used at all once I got my laptop) I did have FF2 installed, and after all this time, the early build of the DCUG is still there. (Thought it got erased. :huh: Oh well.) However, I can't seem to find the missions you're looking for in the Missions Folder. Were they put somewhere other then the missions folder?
EDIT: You said that those files aren't in your missions and story folders, and they aren't in mine. However, I just loaded up DCUG and in the Rumble Room, I was able to select those missing mods as 'mini-mods'. Did you try actually going into your own rumble room and selecting them?
I'm not sure, Kk. Check in the stories folder, see if there is a Green Arrow mission or a Question mission in there somewhere. I can't remember exactly what their map files are named, but the mission wasn't completely finished yet (I hadn't incorporated the story file into the map file).

Sorry Kk, I'm guessing you were editing while I was posting. Anyway, I left their minimod files in place, apparently, but without their story files, they won't run.

Right. I don't have them either, and thus, when I tried to run the missions, they wouldn't work for me either. If both you and myself, who downloaded your files, don't have them, then maybe you did something with them before you uploaded the files.
Mmm, I should clarify, I removed them BEFORE my latest, ill-fated attempts at uploading. I placed them in a folder to back them up, but when I reformated my computer, apparently my backup program didn't copy that one. Still, I uploaded a version that contained them at one point in time. I remember people posting about the Question mission back during Beta.

I suppose I don't have it then. See, I also had the RAR files, so I deleted DCUG and reextracted the rar. Those missing files still aren't there. I suppose we'll have to see if anyone else has that
very early build, but you may just have to release DCUG without them.
Well...if I can't find them, I will release it without them, but it would hit me hard to have lost them forever.

i don't think i have any brave and bold however, unless they're named differently. so if any of these are the one you're looking for, i'll gladly help.
i do have the installer for this version (dated from november 2008 apparently) and the DCUG FX pack that went with it.
i could give it back to you, but it's 507 Mo, so if there are specific files i can directly send you instead of reuploading the all stuff i think that'd be easier :rolleyes:

Trelau, you are the man! Those are exactly what I'm looking for. I had actually forgotten the Grundy mission...that's great. I still don't see the Brave and the Bold one, and I've completely forgotten what I had named it. It may have been completed after that version was uploaded...if so, that is a real shame, as it was one of my favorites of all the things I'd created. Here's what you can do. Just email me your story folder in its entirety, along with alll of those mission folders you mentioned, save for JLA#1 (I still have all of my JLA missions). Thanks so much man, it will mean a lot to me to recover these.

Awesome! Thanks Trelau, these are exactly what I was missing. The Brave and the Bold mission that teamed Hawkman and the Atom is still missing, but at least they haven't all been lost. I feel a good deal better having these back.
Curses friends! While these were indeed the missions in question, apparently they are from a very old version of the DCUG indeed. The Question mission was pretty much finished at this time, but the Green Arrow mission is little more than a tithe of what it eventually became....ahh well, I suppose these missions are lost. I lost a year because of bitterness, and now I've lost more. At least I can finally release this thing.
Damn, i wish i could have helped more...I still have a hard time believing that nobody has a copy of the DCUG hiding in their hard drive...let's hope a lurker we haven't seen in month will pop up unexpectedly with a more recent version than mine.
Anyway, it will be a pleasure seign what the beast looks like as of today, even one full story arc is pure awesomeness.
I'll try to remember to look through what I have.
It's possible that some of these things ended up in what I sent you, YL, but I think that I had already removed them.
I posted a new topic about missing Question mission. My copy does not seem to run properly. Maybe newer files could help.
