Title: FFvTTR with FFX 3 Default Attack Bug...
Post by: DoctorDark on April 02, 2010, 05:03:30 PM
Having completed the original Freedom Force this morning, I just installed Freedom Force vs the Third Reich along with FFX 3 for it. I then started the game and was playing the tutorial when I noticed that the icon when I moved the mouse over enemies was a hand instead of the default attack icon. Then, when trying to left-click to use my default attack, it just kept doing one of the other attacks, but not the default one. In Alchemiss' case, she kept making her shadow clones. This does not occur in a non-FFX 3 game of FFvsTTR, so the fault is somehow with FFX 3. My question is, how do I fix it so the icons and default attacks work as normal when using FFX 3?

I don't think you can, bud, because "custom" attacks take precedence over default attacks. What's happening is that every time you click on a foe, you're activating one of Alchemiss's ffx attributes.

Thanks for letting me know about how FFX 3 works... now I think I understand it better! This version of FFX gives standard characters some new, custom powers that you activate the same way you would activate default attacks in the regular game? The one I was activating was called Cast Illusion, or some such. To use default attacks in FFX you have to right-click on a target and select it from the menu that pops up. Basically the long way, but that's ok.  :D
