Title: En-Drakus pics
Post by: Lord Elcorion on December 18, 2011, 05:41:14 AM
So I dinged lvl 30 with En-Drakus earlier tonight, and after doing my aura and costume slot missions, I set about updating his old costumes, and designing his new third costume, and this is what I ended up with.

This is his 'Classic' look, complete with cape and aura. ((Though it's a tad hard to make out either in this view.))

This is his 'Exposed' look, revealing his true nature under the armor. I'm really not very happy with this look, actually, it feels very much like it needs something more, or at list something different.

And finally, this is his all-new 'Trenchcoat Zombie' look. I think this one turned out pretty well, actually.

Great pics. I agree, #3 is the best in my opinion. Great feel to the costume. For #2 have you thought about trying one without the armored legs? Like a look completely out of the armor? It might help a little.

I didn't really want to go with the full out zombie set, that felt too much like a cop out creativly, though I think I might have an idea for something different that might work... still have twenty-odd free tailor sessions on En-Drakus, so I can do plenty of experimenting. Wish I could afford the barbarian set, what I have in mind now would be ideal with a few of those pieces... ahh well, I'll just have to make do until I can get it. Off to make some modifications.

*edit*
Ok, I came up with a new option for En-Drakus's 'exposed' look that seems to have a better feel to it, sort of an 'unarmored combat getup' that is it's own cohesive look, while still retaining a fair portion of the medeival feel that his classic look is meant to convey. Check it out.

And while I was at it, I grabbed updated screenies of Elcorion and his two costumes.

Keep in mind that if you don't want the full Barbarian set, you can just buy the individual pieces now.  You can also make the costume even if you don't have the pieces, you might even be able to save it, you just can't apply it.  You do save some money with the whole set though, so you still might wish to wait for it.

I also agree that the new exposed look is pretty good.

I know, I just won't have any money until probably after christmas, depending on what I get for presents. Being chronically unemployed sucks manure.

Yeah, but at least you can play for free.  That is rather cool.

Indeed. between CoH, Champions, ((though at this point more for some of the options in the charecter creator that CoH can't do)) and Age of Conan, I've got plenty of free MMO goodness to mess with, though I'm tempted to go try out Star Trek online for a good, solid sci-fi fix. Are there any other good sci-fi/futuristic MMOs that are F2P out there?

I really only play this one, but I'm sure there are.  I do know Battletech Online is currently in the works and will be F2P when it debuts.  That promises to be some fine sci-fi rpgish action.

I like Elcorion's classic look because it's very much a classic look.  :D

Thanks. I based it off a design I origionally did in Hero Machine years ago, that was then used as the basis for the wonderful FF skin shown here, (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a352/lordelcorion/lord_elcorion_full.jpg) done by Carravagio, IIRC. The second costume is meant to be more representative of the wizard robes that Elcorion typically wears in his home world of Barvaronia.

You should pony up for the COT costume. I think your outfit would benefit greatly.

the circle of thorns costume, yes? my room mate suggested that as well. personally I think I'd only end up using the hood, the kilt, and maybe the shoulders and belt...
