Title: FFVTR Crossover Mac EZ Hero and FFX Control Centre
Post by: drjudgebot on November 10, 2016, 07:49:54 PM
Hi, forever lurker, first time poster.

I bit the bullet and rather than trying to resuscitate my old Windows machine, I'm trying to start all over with FFVTR on my Mac via Crossover. I've got the game and FFX 3 running just fine, but I can't get EZ Hero or FFX Control Centre to launch. I installed them both within my FFVTR bottle, but when I try to open them, it's like it starts to launch but immediately crashes without an error message.

Any ideas for an old FF veteran trying to start over on a new platform?

Hi Dr!

At a glance, two hypotheses come to mind:

1.The FFX CC expects specific version of some Windows DLL (IIRC, C-something.dll; can't remember the exact name at the moment, sorry). I suppose that EZ Hero also requires a specific linked code library. If these libraries aren't there or aren't of the right version, the apps will crash at launch.

2. Maybe the WINE settings to get the game working aren't compatible with the ones needed to run those apps.
