Title: Making FFXvTR work
Post by: Portal on November 21, 2019, 02:41:48 PM
When I downloaded the software, I double clicked on the FFX icon and it asked for the location of the FFvTR program.  I directed it to it, and now when I try to run FFXvTR it just runs simple FFvTR.  How can I fix this?

The target description of my desktop icon looks like this:

"D:\program files\Irrational Games\Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe" -game ffx3 -log

Something like this should work (my game is on the "D" drive, of course).

Later:

Oops! I forgot to mention: I have the original disks, and don't know if that makes a difference.

I tried adding the -game ffx3 portion to my shortcut and it didn't do anything.

Worth reminder that FFX looks almost the same as normal  :ffvstr:, the only visible changes are some new game modes in the rumble room.

I thought it altered some of the characters in the campaign as well.  For example giving El Diablo the ability to create fire walls.

They looks the same basically. There are more SFX and Attributes, and doesn't it also have a few additional characters to use as examples, in addition to the puppets for the Puppeteer attribute?
