First off do you have FFvTTR Mod Tools installed? If not then you can download it here : http://www.alexff.com/goodies.php

1 : Copy all the text from the Speech & paste it at the bottom of your  :ffvstr: Speech file located in Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\Data\Lang\English\Speech.text file. Then save. If your using FFX3 then you will need to add the text to FFX3 speech file as well.

2 : Put the Voicepack folder with the MP3 files in your Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\Data\Sounds\Speech\English folder.

3 : Open up FFEdit  click on Characters tab at the top. Highlight Alchemiss and at the bottom click copy & replace name. Change the name to your Voicepack name. Now un-tick the box that says Campaign Only in the top right so that it is blank. Change the Speech ID to whatever the ID number is of your new Speech text. Now save at bottom.

4 : Now click on the Templates tab at the top. Highlight Alchemiss, copy & replace name to your Voicepack name. Now save.

5 : Finally open the Options Tab & generate language files. Your finished!

You will also need to setup paths in the Options tab before you use the Editor. I'm ussing FFX3.3 mod to run my game & I have my paths setup like this :

Primarary Data Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffx3

Secondary Data Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\Data

Nif Libarary Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\Data\art

Sound Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffx3\sounds

Game Exe : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffvt3r.exe

Level Editor Exe : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\ffvt3rEdit.exe

Python Editor : C:\Windows\Notepad.exe

Output Directory : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich\ffx3\Lang\English

Howdy Dioman; what voicepack is it?  Where do you have the files installed?

I think it's my Injustice Superman vp, buddy. He posted in the topic, but I can't find what's wrong. May someone test the vp, please?

BentonGrey

Okay, well, looking at the pack, it all seems to be in order.  My first thought is to wonder about whether it is installed in the right directory.  Check your file paths, and make sure they match where the speech.txt is telling the game to look for the files.  For example, if you aren't playing with an English copy of the game, the data path might look different.  Or, if you have the files installed in a mod but have the speech lines added to a speech.txt somewhere else, that would cause it not to work.

Thanks for the helping hand, Benton.

My pleasure, my friend!  If I get a chance this weekend, I'll install it and test it out.

Sorry for bring out a very old thread... i'm having problem after install VP, when generate language it make many of attributes are like : Attribute_***** errors.. what should i do ?

DoctorRuina

Sometimes the voicepack is not playing or mute because this voicepack doesn't have lines in SPEECH_xx_SELECT_xx. Other times it is because in the speech file the location of the file is set incorrectly. Other times it is because there are errors in the speech file... I have recently learned how to solve all these problems.

EmenoKay

Oh my god.. this is so frustating... i've tried several time with no success.... the hero name with voice id is there but no voice played......

DoctorRuina

Are the lines for select in the speech file? If they are not, add them so that it sounds when selecting the voicepack.
 Example:
 SPEECH_SM_SELECT_01, speech\english\superman_s001.mp3
 SPEECH_SM_SELECT_02, speech\english\superman_s002.mp3

DoctorRuina

Try putting the input directory in data/lang and the output in ffx3/lang, and write the speech in data/lang. It's working well for me like this.

EmenoKay

Thx, some VP are working, but some are don't... but its fine for now i guess....

DoctorRuina

I had the same problems, but I finally managed to solve it

Necro posting but I can confirm this method works. For a few things especially if you are Steam version like say problems with added FX showing up. Add them to FFX3 dats first then if you want them in the regular version combine from the already updated FFX3 dats.
