It's not a great edit, but I don't think there is any so far, try to make it similar to Dean's MK style, obviously I don't have his talent, supported by a slightly modified Dean kitana.

HERE!
I tried to try a different texture stroke on the face, it was hilariously opposite to MK's aesthetic.
Maybe she's a pixar mom cosplaying?

working on Alpha's face, transferring it to 3D corporeal mass from drawings from the animated series by mib

At the moment I am not satisfied, and it is making holes when I render it

Randomdays

More great work Cranlox.

A few years back I took a sims 2 female model and rigged her to female basic. She comes with a basic skin and is 3 parts - body, hair, and face.

Uploaded her to the requests folder if anyone wants to check her out.

cranlox

Yeah! I tried to use it a few times, but it always seemed more adolescent to me, the idea of using it for Guadalupe Extreme, but in the end I used another model that had a gun.
It's a good base. I'll probably use it for someone when it occurs to me.

Cranlox - finished up the Star Trek Salt Vampire. Thanks for working on this.

Part of the problem I think was that the poly counts on the meshes was too high and the games couldn't handle it as a single piece - the head was about 35k vertices, and the hands were about 24k. I reduced them down low enough to work and attached them to "male_heave_hair" - I couldn't get your male_heavy to work in Blender.

Putting it together and it should be posted soon in the my "Star Trek" folder soon.

Kommando - Gni's Taarna with Gally hair. It wouldn't animate after going through Blender, so I just copied and pasted it over in nifskope

cranlox

nice work, great that you were able to solve that when you are free with time without rush I am going to ask you to look at a robot that I have been trying to make

I still have a few more attempts to achieve before I'm done getting frustrated.

Randomdays

A few females from Star Trek TOS - Dr Elizabeth Dehner from "Where No Man Has Gone Before", Dr Helen Noel from "Dagger of the Mind", Lieutenant Mariona and Yeoman Larke - two generic crew created toonloon. These two have alternate uniforms and hair color for replacements of the civ females on my Enterprise map.

Making a generic male crew should be next.

A new wave of Cars characters, they are super simple, but cute.
There are 4 secondary characters with the original palette and a secondary player2 palette.

I'm not sure how I missed this but thanks. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do with her yet, but I know I want to do something. I just got the old Blender with NIF plugin working so I need to figure that out. Thanks again.

I got the model of Zuzo the mystical wolf from Elena of Avalor that can take you back and forth to purgatory. In addition to becoming intangible and flying or healing your environment.
He seemed like a character that could be interesting on any FFvs3R team. If at some point someone could mount it on a quadruped that can fly, that would be great.

I'm trying to do the Alpha(villain of mib animated serie) parts and it's still a pain, I'm still thinking about changing everything and starting from scratch since it's very heavy

BentonGrey

Cool looking character, Cranlox, and yeah, sounds like it would be an interesting one in FF.

The standard wolf kfs have a flying anim. For the intangible, an alternate version with alpha turned on.

Benton, putting Krang together. I estimate about 50 foot tall. moves kind of lumbering, probably due to the size increase, but that probably fits the character. He's also a bit hard to see in game at that size.

As I was afraid of, he wouldn't import to Blender as he was. I had to export him from nifskope as a obj file.

Once in Blender, I just attached all the extras to Giant Man's mesh, chopped off his head, and replaced it with the Krang one. This gives him the Giant Man attacks you were looking for.

I had to move things around a little bit, the main thing was lowering the tentacles lower on the body to make it closer to the original character.

A couple of other items with Krang - I have a couple of other versions of this one already, one is "TMNT_Krang_large", but I haven't checked him out to see how big he is. Also, I have 3 Krangs that dm brought in on a different mesh, "TMNT_Classic_Krang_V2_dm" and "Giant" and "Juggernaut" versions, and still another version "New_Krang" on still another import.

You already have his Techodrome right?

BentonGrey

He looks fantastic, RD!  I'm sorry it was such a pain, but I really appreciate you getting him to work.  That sounds pretty perfect.  As for the other versions of Krang, I have all of those as well.  I imagine the krang_large is probably my own attempt at making him bigger, which screwed with his animations.

I do indeed have his Technodrome.  I was actually just thinking about putting together a map with that as the centerpiece for the FF2 map with the big crater.

I didn't know that the wolf you mentioned had flight animation, unfortunately it doesn't join skeleton to models that's why I always end up stuck at that stage when I try it at some point I always had problems running Blender or achieving it.

What happened to the Star Trek project?

I downloaded a few characters from your mega site and the vampire, you did a good job there too.

I was trying to make a head of the Duckland villains, the hat was damaged and discolored.

Hey Cranlox -

I haven't done too much with FF the last few days due to some situations at home. I got Krang for Benton and I'll try to look at the surfboard issues on the other mesh he mentioned.

On Star Trek, the map is done I think except for scripting that's beyond me at the moment. Maybe Benton can set me up with some sound cues and teleports once I release it.

I've downloaded some more hairpieces and uniforms from the Sims3 and I'll go back working on the Orion Slave Girls and some random generic crew for the hallways.

Beagle Boys are are my list along with Donald, Scrooge, and Magica de Spell

Blender is tough to start with, but check over my tutorial if you haven't and see if that helps. Rigging an armature isn't that bad if the import mesh isn't high poly.

If I have time, I'll set one up for the wolf.

BentonGrey

Yeah, I have a lot of love for these old cartoons.  They've been near and dear to my heart since I was a kid, and they've formed part of my imaginative background almost all my life.

RD, I hope that things calm down for you, man!

As for your map, teleports are super easy.  I can definitely help you with those.  It's literally just putting in markers with the right names.  It's in the FFX manual, I believe.  Sounds specifically located on a map I haven't messed with, but I think I understand the theory behind them.  We can probably figure it out.

Thanks Benton.

Except for what's mentioned above, Krang didn't take as long as I thought since I didn't have to do any rigging.

I'll talk to you some more about the Trek map in a bit.

For you its the 80's and 90's. For me it was the 60's HB heroes.

Setting up an updated tutorial for importing the wolf above and maybe a Sims3 character for those who are wanting to learn Blender

Even with what's been going on, I have had time for a little reading. I reread the first Diskworld book again, as well as ERB's 1st Carson of Venus and all of REH's Solomon Kane short stories.

For more pulp, I had read an Operator #5, a Green Lama, the 1st Spider book, and some Secret Agent X, to compare them to Doc Savage the the Shadow. The Phantom Detective and Black Bat are next to check out.

While Doc Savage is still my favorite, I really liked The 1st Spider book.

Benton, I've got the Spider from your Pulp Mod. Is this the one Daglob did? No info with it. If not, I'm looking for that.

Also, I don't see a version of Marvel's Kull in my files. Is there one out there?

One more thing on "The Spider" The version in Benton's Pulp mod, Daglob or not, that looks like the movie serial version. ( on the right in the first pic)

Do we have a version of the more standard "masked" and "creepy" types?

I think they shouldn't be too hard to do off of a pulp versatile or Shadow base.

Krang: Glad to hear it!

Star Trek: Yep, let me know.  I'll be happy to help.

Pulps: Cool!  You're speaking my language, RD.  The Carson novels are really interesting (more interesting than good, really).  They are unusually political for Burroughs, and it is fascinating to see the glimpse of the political landscape of the era that they represent.  It's also another imaginative and exciting setting, even if it lacks the magic of his Barsoom/Mars books.

Oh man, I love the Solomon Kane stories.  I think they're some of his most underrated work.

Oh!  If you enjoyed the Spider story, you should read Empire State!  The adventure itself is solid, average pulp fare, but the premise is fascinating, as it essentially predicts Hitler's Reich, complete with its oppression and camps, years before it arose.

I haven't read any Green Lama or the secret agent books yet.  How were they?  I have read some G-8 and his Battle Aces books, something of a WWI flying spy/secret agent, and they are a lot of fun.  Doc Savage remains my favorite too.  I think they've got the most interesting cast of characters (generally more entertaining and likeable than even comparable groups, like The Avenger's), and some of the best writing.

As for the mod's version of the Spider, you're right, it's a more modern version.  I never really felt like his costume worked with his theme.  It's just this weird grab bag of stuff, like the Creeper, but without being as visually striking.  I'm not sure who did the skin, though I think it was either Daglob or Naitvalis?  Maybe Souix City Dynamo?  As for the original look, I would be rather surprised if Daglob hadn't done that at some point in time, but I don't have it.

I don't recall ever seeing a Kull.

Daglob's Spider - his release notes on the forum says it a skope from O' Conner and Tombstone.

I think Doc is my favorite not only because he was the first of the hero pulps I read, but but also I liked Dent's writing style (some of the other writers for Doc, not so much) and the humor that a lot of the other lack, specifically Monk and Ham.

One of the Doc writers actually wrote some "Phantom Detective" stories. I'd like to get an ebook version of them since the print versions are so expensive.

https://www.amazon.com/Phantom-Detective-Phantoms-Bronze/dp/145639231X

I've got a bout 25 or so Spider stories including Empire State. I'm going to try to read them in order though.

You ought to check out "Captain Future" as well. Set in the "future"(of course) in your typical early sci-fi solar system with a desert type Mars and a rainy, jungle like Venus among others, it gives off strong Doc Savage vibes with his sidekicks and training. His sidekicks are a robot, a rubbery android, and a brain in a box.

"Thunder Jim Wade" looks like a Doc Savage knock off as well.

https://thepulp.net/pulpsuperfan/2013/09/11/review-thunder-jim-wade/

Green Lama wasn't bad. If I remember it started with him already in action without much of an origin story. I'll have to go back to it again.

Secret Agent X deals with some really creepy bad guy gangs, a bit like The Spider. His main motif is being a master of disguise and the cops don't like him. The couple I read weren't bad.

Operator #5 gave me a James Bond feel with some gadgets and such. A really unique part of his series is that it starts with normal missions to protect the US, but at one point - we lose, invaded by first the "Purple Empire" for a 13 issue run, and then by the "Yellow Vulture", dropping atom bombs on us!

Doing a little research today, I came up on a series I hadn't run into before - "Dusty Ayres and his Battle Birds". It looks similar to G-8 and also had the US fighting an organization that had conquered most of the world - "Fiery Eyes" - in a 12 issue story. I'll have to check him out.

So much good pulp out there to read.
