Revelation brings down axe on Microsoft project
RUMOURS ARE ABOUNDING that Microsoft recently killed off a rather interesting project, one that would have seen console gamers pitched against their PC gaming equivalents in online battles.
According to Rahul Sood, the man behind the Voodoo PC and now the CTO of HP's gaming business, Microsoft started the project in the hope that it would form part of its Live online gaming experience and see XBox gamers rain down frag grenades on PC players.

fiarly obvious result, what did they really think would happen with controller vs mouse+ keyboard, PC allows you to control more at one time because simply put, a keyboard can be customised to fit your playstyle to a T. a mouse is FAR easier to aim with, and using a mouse and keyboard simultanious, even when using 80%+ of the keyboard, is second nature to any PC gamer in the world.

I stopped playing on consoles for the longest time and stuck with PC gaming. When I went back to consoles...I felt like every game I played took place underwater. It took a long time to get back in the groove using console controllers.

I was actually quite excited about the whole console versus PC thing. But that was because I knew I had a fighting chance if I played on a PC against an Xbox player.

Meh, guess I'll just have to go back to sucking at PVP.
