I agree with you.  While I was worried about the drastic format change, it's actually worked out pretty well.  It's not looking good for the show's future, however.

The last episode (17) I saw was sweet!  I think it's the last episode from what I last heard.  I still think the new Michael Knight doesn't have the same screen presence as the Hoff but the chemistry between this cast is awesome!  Please please please bring this show back for another season!

I thought getting rid of Torres was a mistake but they adjustment has been pretty good.  I'm not a big Zoe fan, but she's cool in bit parts.

Yes, the show is canceled.  It's finally finding its place, the last episode is basically a second pilot, but it will not continue.

The curse of the Knight Rider sequel series continues with the quick failure of attempt number 3.  At least attempt number 2 (Team Knight Rider) lasted for over 20 episodes.  This one couldn't even last a full season.

(Five more episodes were supposed to be part of this season, but were canceled by NBC even before formally canceling the series)
