So, I'm about to reactivate my COH account for £8.99 when i notice I can get the Architect edition for £9.99...I'd be silly not to considering it comes with a month free game time anyway

What's there to consider?  The box set is just a pound more and comes with your choice of the Magic Booster Set or another booster.  (Having a senior moment here and can't remember which the second is.) 

If a pound today is worth about $1.50 American - that's got to be one of the best bargains ever!   Grab it!
