died yesterday, aged 94, from complications from pneumonia

I don't play guitar and even I've heard of Les Paul.  I didn't know he was still performing practically up to his death.  Wow.

until it was pointed out to me yesterday by a friend, I'd no idea just how much Les Paul had contributed to music beyond making one of the best brands of guitars in the world.

he was a legend and will be missed.
