Question about FFX 3.3

There were certain powers or types of powers that character would never use in the rumble room... like "Super Heroic" or some area attack to boost teammates... does FFX AI change this?

EDIT: O.K.! I tired it myself but I don't think they do... Also, is it possible to make some kind of "Leadership" power for them to use? Like, "Having this character on the team gives an attack or defense bonus to teammates"?

There is actually. I think... may be wrong though.
Try giving a character a speed increase power, than in FFX control Centre change increase to leadership.
I think that does want you want it too.Rally the troops should work too, but if the AI doesn't do it here is a trick you can do.   give the character an area attack,  run the ai generator, then open up the ai file in notepad and just change the area attack to the rally power.

The AI in FFX should use the Rally power. Did you run the character through M25AI Generator (See FFX manual for details)? Also there is an attribute in FFX called Coordinator. It gives bonuses to your teammates and penalties to your enemies.

Yep, Coordinator.

I was thinking of Destiny of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants when I wrote that one, but it doubles as City of Heroes style Leadership easily.

What exactly do "Field Commander" and "Coordinator" do? I read them but the descriptiotns are brief...?

One, I believe "Field Commander" gives all teammates an extra heropoint.  The other, "Coordinator," gives  bonus to agility (for dodging) and maybe some mental resistance?  I'm not entirely sure.

As BG said, Field Commander gives a Hero Point to teammates. This is customizable, though. You can choose a different type of bonus in the FFX Center I believe. If the Field Commander is KO'd then your teammates suffer a penalty to their energy stat and weakening. Coordinator only gives an Agility bonus to teammates and an Agility penalty to enemies.

Ah. So, Field Commander gives extra lives to teammates while Coordinator gives teammates better chances of hitting. Got it. How about... changing the powers or renaming? And thanks! I read the manual for it, but I got a little lost.

Field Commander is actually customizable, so you can essentially change what the power does yourself, from a menu of different effect.

Personally, I think they are pretty good names.  What would you call them?

Haha, this will sound really, really, stupid, but there is just something wrong with me... like when something is not even, it will just stand out to me, and my brain won't let me live on until it is fixed... or like, walking on the sidewalk, I always walk inside the blocks and not on the cracks, and if I accidently step on a crack, then I'll be trying to walk on the cracks the rest of the way... >_<

Maybe Leadership, Assault, Defend, Tactics, Manuevers, etc. City of Heroes lol.

You could change the names yourself using FFEdit - thats the beauty of a moddable game!

In Data/Language/English/strings.txt, find the string:

ATTRIB_COORDINATOR_01, coordinator

and make it read

ATTRIB_COORDINATOR_01, manouvres

and then recompile the language files. Voila! Done!

( I'll leave it to you how to spell "Manouvres" depending on your nationality - I get it wrong every time :) )
