Some pages of the forum are limited to single posts

I don't know if this is the right place for this(or if technical issues would be better), but i am having trouble with certain pages on the forum.
For example...Going to Pod's skin thread there is only one post per page, and it ends with this at the foot of the page:

8: Undefined index: signature_enabled
File: /home/freed16/public_html/simple/Themes/default/Display.template.php (eval?)
Line: 502

In fact, its not just one page, its random ones and they all end with the exact same(word for word) error. Anyone having this problem/know how to fix it?

I'm getting them as well and the PMs are just as borked, hit the reply button and all the replies show up anyway in the summary.

I had the same problem, but it stopped when I turned off  users' avatars and users' signatures.

turned off sigs and it works now. oddness.

Wait until you find the bit that acts up with the avatars if you haven't turned those off already.

I just find it bizzare that it's even pulling up a (albeit faulty) script for sigs at all... we haven't used sigs on fr for years now from what I recall.

I wouldn't worry about it though... we just go without avs for a bit is all.

For sure it is sig related, when I hit reply I can read all the posts. I'll try turning off the signatures as John Jr. suggests.

I have the same problem...

It's acting like the old coding for the sigs is just erroring out how the brower displays what's on the page.

Guess I need to figure out how to shut off sigs being displayed myself.

*Edit: That did it! Shutting off the sigs seems to have eliminated the display error. Not sure why it happened all of a sudden today thou.*

I think we're all seeing the same thing.  Something appears to be wrong with the site.  I'm only seeing the other posts (below) as I post this...They don't show up, if I try to view the messages in-thread.

BTW...Private Messages seem to be doing it too.  I can only view one message out of my 150 or so.

I have this problem too, but the workaround posted under special announcments works fine.  I would also suggest that folks remove their signatures from their accounts to keep their own posts from triggering this error for now.  I will do the same right now.

I suspect this is a different issue. That had more to do with the board having to do a lot of work and taxing the servers when the database of threads/posts was large and there were many people using the forum at once. The symptoms there tended to be slowdowns and occasional non-responses when clicking on a thread. What we are seeing here seems a bit different in that it's specifically related to signatures and it seems to have cropped up rather abruptly. (Of course, that doesn't mean the previous issue won't become one again, but it may not be related to what we are seeing the last day or so.)

Can't remove the signature from my account, the place in my account profile that should give that option just says "8: Undefined index: signature_enabled

Yes, I found the same thing when I went to remove it.  Oh well.
