So, I'm getting ready to install  :ffvstr: onto a new (to me) computer, with the hopes I can actually play it on this one, but I can't remember what I've done with the install code.  I know the one for the first game was inside the back of the jewel case (a very convenient spot), but all I remember for the second game is that it was on a piece of paper somewhere.  Does anyone know/remember where it was located, so I have some idea what I'm looking for when I start sorting through all of my computer paperwork?

I don't think 3R needs a code.

Having recently re-installed this game myself, I believe that y_l is correct.

Well lookee there, I've installed and played through the first mission, with no prompt for a code.  yay!

Thank you gentlemen, for allaying my fears that I would have to delay installing this even further.  Seriously though, I *do* remember some kind of code on a slip of paper when I first got the game.  Any idea what the heck that was?

Now that I've got things working, I need to start looking into a SP2+ compatible version of Character Tool for this game, and figure out where the Editor is, then eventually all of the most-needed add-ons, i.e. FFX, EZFX (although I recall something about many from the first game not working in the second....), maps, voice packs galore, the mesh converter, cool Ren meshes that are  :ffvstr: only, mods I've never even seen.....I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

:santa: Merry Christmas to me!!

The code from the disk could have been one of those codes to get the 70's version of different characters, perhaps?

You can get the Editor and stuff from here: http://www.freedomfans.com/ffvttr/downloads.php

Just click the FF Mod Tools, not the MAX exporter stuff. It comes with FFedit and Character Tool.

Then you most DEFINITELY need to get FFX, the latest version. You can play the regular game with FFX, but with their new powers included. (Alchemiss can create illusions, El Diablo can create a wall of fire, etc.)
