So Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 is actually being released in North America this fall, and I'm more than a little excited about it.

For those not aware, KH 1.5 is basically a port of the first 2 games in the series (KH1 and Chain of Memories) to the PS3, with HD resolution and trophy support (plus hd versions of the 358/2 cutscenes, but no one cares about that game). That said, the version of KH1 they're porting is actual Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, previously only released in Japan. Final Mix featured additional boss fights (including the first tease of Xemnas, though fans didn't know it at the time), cutscenes, and even a short confrontation between Cloud and Sephiroth after you defeated the latter. I've played the japanese version, and I am super excited to hear it's FINALLY being released in the USA. Moreover, hopefully this is a sign of things to come, because an English release of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix II would be the greatest thing EVER.

No, seriously. KHII had so much additional content compared to the US release that I'm hard pressed to even call it the same game.
