I can't say I was a dedicated Pratchett reader, but I did enjoy what I had read of his work. He was a master of humorous and artful prose for many years and I am sad that early onset Alzheimer's took him. Despite the way he passed, he left us much by which to remember him.
Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway. Stupidity is the same. And that's why life is hard. - Jeremy Goldberg

I'm absolutely devastated. I've always been excited to read Pratchett to my kids in the future. His work really got me through some long hospital stays and other stressful times.

I'm bumping the Long Earth series up my reading list now.

His best passages displayed a unique mix of witty humour, whimsy charm and razor-sharp critic. He'll be missed.

Hope you enjoy his company, Death.
