Is it possible to import nif in the latest blender

Cyber Burn

I don't have the current version of Blender, but I would assume that like previous versions, when you hit "Import", a list should appear stating what File types it can open.

It was my understanding that the Blender NifTools were necessary in order to import Nif files. Blender by itself does not import Nif files. There has not been an update to the NifTools plug-in for current versions of Blender in a few years. Being that Blender is Open Source, doesn't suffer from the demands of consumers that have purchased it, and any plug-ins for it have been created by users; we're kind of at the mercy of whether someone has the time to create what we need. This question has been asked before and we have all been left with settling for using older versions of Blender to fulfill our Freedom Reborn mesh editing needs. If someone has any news on newer versions of Blender being able to import Nifs, please let us know, as I haven't come across any mention of the newer versions having a built-in import for Nifs.
