So I was thinking today, just now actually and I had the idea to generate a text file (which is really really easy) of all of the files in my characters folder.
I figured that a lot of the older community members would have large characters folder full of goodies. This could be an easy way to know who has what, and if anyone else posts their text file that lists their folders it may be easy to combine them together into a larger list. That way it would be easy to ctrl+f and maybe find something someone needs.

All of the files in my characters folder can be viewed here:
http://pastebin.com/g2BQurbX

(kudos to spyder for sending me a ridiculous amount of meshes and skins)

If anyone needs a file from my characters folder they can pm me.

If you want to post your character folder you can do so by following these steps:

1. Open the Command Prompt

2. Type "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\Custom\Art\library\characters" to set your directory, you may need to change the file thingy because your folders may be different.
(You can copy and paste your folder destination by right clicking and clicking the paste option)

3.  Type "dir > mycharacters.txt"

4. You're done and a text file will have been generated inside your characters folder.

5. The final step involves copying and pasting your text file (or uploading it somewhere else) to http://pastebin.com/

Cyber Burn

This is pretty cool, when I have some free time, I'll have to check this out, hopefully it works for the Disk version of the Game, as well as Steam. My biggest concern is my File Structure, as it's quite different from the traditional set up.

It's a Windows-based System Command, so it will work with anything that's on windows.

And as long as all of your folders are under a common sub-folder, I think that it should be fine.  If not, you could just do one for each folder (create a separate output file for each folder), and then put all of the lists together.

Fortunately, it can automatically list and create a txt document of all of the files in any folder.  ^_^
The only way it wont work is if you're not running windows. (In which case it may be a different command)
You just need to make sure you type in the correct file path to your characters folder (wherever that may be)

Amazo Version 2.2

first off, i really have to say that this is a pretty good idea, but i do have a problem with it, which i'll get to in a second.

on the pro side, if you don't mind a suggestion, i would say that maybe we should post these lists in the "freedom force discussion" forum, that way we don't jam up the "requests" forum.

also, at least in my case, there are a serious amount skins/meshes/skopes that i have renamed, for whatever reason, and i would feel kinda bad if i kept sending people the same file over and over again. do you have any ideas for a way to work around this?

now to the con side, and i'm sorry, but i'm just playing devil's advocate here, because while i like this idea, others may not. there may be skinners/meshers/skopers who may not want their work distributed in this manner. will you have a permissions list similar to the nifskope and kitbashing lists?
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.
