Profile Link Issues...

Hi FR Moderators and everyone else!

I've been trying to change my profile links, but FR isn't letting me for some reason.  I keep getting the following error message: "The following errors occurred when trying to save your profile: The following BBC is not allowed within your signature: flash, glow, img, iurl."

I'm not sure why it's not letting me save my updated links in my signature since we've been able to save img files in our sigs before...

The FRP logo which is clearly visible in my sig below:

Both  links have the [img] code on each side of the urls in the sig below:

Can any moderator maybe help me out?

   Thanks for asking this. I was receiving the same error message when I was trying to post the Force of Paradox banner in my signature. I couldn't find any answers or tips in all of the site help and resources. I had asked Laughing Paradox, of course, and it did not appear that the format of my link was any different than his.

No Prob, Hoss my friend...Hopefully somebody can assist us with this.  I can post the FRP logo easily enough with the img coding in posts, etc (see below), but it's not letting me alter my signature, so i can update the links to my maps even.



BTW, I tried to alter only my personal text and then I tried to alter only my custom title and the site still won't allow me to save my profile, without the error message.

So, I updated my links to the FRP back-up sites (below), but I guess we can't save img files in our signatures anymore?....Sigh.

I take it they only occasionally visit the tech forum. Maybe you should cross-post in the general one.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I am pretty sure what happened is that, quite some time ago, images were disallowed from signatures and the forum rules were updated to reflect that. E.g. "9. Signatures are text-only and may not exceed 300 characters. The size of the signature text must be no larger than the default board font size. Use of blink, glow, and marquee formatting is not allowed in signatures. Formatting that results in large or overly distracting signatures is subject to editing at mod discretion."

Anyway, about 1.5 years ago, the forum software settings were updated to make sure people couldn't use the img tags when editing their signatures. (Note that people who already had images in their signatures were probably not retroactively affected. I recall that only a handful of active members had images in their signatures. So, if you spot a signature with an image in it, that's probably why.)
