max5 animation segments error (solved)

Runtime Error: No such NoteTrack function for undefined.
This error for this bit of code in character_tool.mcr

Is this because the animation segment is from  and the tool is for  ?
if so,are there animation segment notes for  anywhere?
Or should I try to use the  character tool? I can't seem to find it. My gog  installed the  character tool code.

I found the solution in archives. Simply create a dummy and name it Root_NoteTrack.
I'll leave this here for posterity.

Now a question. Is it possible to get the Animation Segments notetrack using any form of niftools?

As far as I understand:
The notetrack information is only available in the source Max file.
In the .kf those blocks should ideally be empty of information.
