Does anyone know what this is for? (1 single Google hit)

The original FFvTTR meshes all have them directly under 'Root_NoteTrack' and Bip01 under that.
Both 'Root_NoteTrack' and 'Root_NoteTrack NonAccum' are in the keyframes.

'Root_NoteTrack NonAccum' is also automatically generated by Max when exporting keyframes, even if I don't have it in my NIF.

I'm asking because I was finally able to export an animation by putting my Bip01 under 'Root_NoteTrack' instead of under 'handle' like everyone else is doing.
I need to know what I'm doing if I'm ever going to get started on the animations right.

Should I make sure I have it?

Thanks!

Hey Schick, while this is well beyond my scope of knowledge, I would suggest looking at some of Renegade's later Meshes, such as his "USAgent_Classic_REN" Mesh, which was specifically made for FFvt3R, and has the Nodes you're looking for.

There doesnt seem to be any real differences between it and handle, as mesh pieces can be skoped with ease under any of these parent nodes.

If you are talking about keyframes, Cyber may be on the riggt track talking about Renegades keyframes. His latest meshes were all built like this and they keyframes arent easily interchangable with other 'male_basic' style oeyframes. There seems to be some rotation happening due to the extra parent node.

It's not needed but as the others said it's like a handle. Third Reich tends to use it as a grouping to put everything else in. In the case of native  :ffvstr: meshes the keyframes usually make use of that node so it will need to stay there, otherwise it's not something you have to have in your nif.

I almost got it now.

'Root_NoteTrack' gets generated when exporting for FFvTTR.
'Handle' comes from files converted from  FF.

'Root_NoteTrack NonAccum' is still a mystery but seems to be there all the time for FFvTTR.
The only use I can see is that 90 degree rotation that can be seen in Renegade's keyframes.
That seems to originate from some original Irrational keyframes.
I can only assume something went wrong there.

So I'll use both for my files.
