John Williams is very good at what he does.
"But there's no use crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake
And the science gets done, and you make a neat gun
For the people who are still alive."

I play it on iTunes, and feel my spirit soar. My favorite part is probably the helicopter rescue, with grim tragedy and dread transformed musically into purposeful urgency, then hope, then, impossibly, triumph!

Here is a remarkably wacky and wonderful version of the theme with lyrics. Be warned -- if you listen, you may not be able to forget the lyrics.

I concur about the Supes theme.

I just wish Captain Marvel (the Big Red Cheese) had an equally awesome theme.
Yellow Lantern smash!

The Troll

"The planet Krypton" is the best song for your own personal pep rally. (about 40 seconds in). Used to psyche my self up with that before soccer games.

Oooh, that'd be cool. Something like Superman mixed with E.T.  Captain Marvel needs an incredibly whimsical theme to match the sheer childlike joy of the character.
