Anyone figure out how to add a one person ambush?  I tried creating a one person group at various difficulty levels to no avail. What happened eac time is that i was greeted with multiple copies of the toon  I have also added a boss in a one person group to spawn after an objective is completed but the group spawns in a different ocassion and just stands there waiting which is not what I want. Additionally, when I did that I had to surround my boss with other standard characters which doesn't fit the concept. Any ideas?

Last time I tried it, no dice.  You can specify 'single' in some areas, like the enemy surrounding a captive or escort, but not others.  Likewise, haven't found a way to generate only a boss with no guards.

What type of objective did you create to trigger the spawn, and what objective did you use for the boss itself?

Collecting an object triggered the spawn of the extra boss and the ambush.

Here's a thought as to how you might orchestrate this.  It's not the same, but might add a bit of drama.

If the object is in the back, have the ambush spawn in the middle and have the boss spawn in the front with an Easy group.  Make the boss a required objective.

That way it will feel like the players have to fight their way out after collecting the object.

If you don't like setting it up that way, another tactic would be to have the boss flee early in the encounter (at x health or x minions remaining).  I don't think the group flees with the boss (though they might chase the players), so you can set up a divide and conquer situation.  For extra spice, the boss will be trying to get away while the ambush runs interference.  This can cause the mission to fail completely, though.
