ARGH!!!!

having FF withdrawals!!! its been weeks since ive been able to do anything FF.my computer blanked out one morning that i got home from work.took it to a buddy who runs a computer shop.he said the fan stopped turning on my graphics card and it burned out.when a new one came in he tried to start it up but it wouldnt work in mine but in another it would.come to find out the port to the mother board also fried.now waiting for another mother board.everything will be wiped and starting fresh.all my characters are saved but everything else will have to be re-loaded.if someone could help me out...please post a link for me for the ff 2 editor please.if i need anything else i know i can count on you guys!

Sorry to hear about your PC troubles. To be honest, as long as your hard drive didn't crash, you should be able to replace the motherboard and graphics card without re-installing Windows or your software (including FF). You would probably have to do a little work to update your drivers so that Windows can deal with your new hardware, but you shouldn't have to start from scratch. Unless you have some other reason to reinstall Windows, I would ask your buddy about keeping your current hard drive and not wiping it clean. Getting things working the way you want them again is usually way more hassle than updating drivers.

There are a couple links to the FF and FFvT3R mod tools in the Game FAQ that should get you started if you do end up having to re-install.
