yes can you merge ezfx v5.0 with ffx3 ????

Gremlin

Indeed you can. One of the FFX 3 versions (3.3 is the latest, that has it for sure) has alternate .dats for sounds and fx with EZFX 5 already included. Just change those .dats to the standard and copy and paste the fx art files over to the ffx folder.

Previsionary

*ahem*

Ezfx 5.0/5.1 is for ff1 and cannot be merged with FFVTTR. Ezfx 6.0 is the only installer FFVTTR can make use of.

Just clarifying that. Also of note, if you have ezfx 6.0 already installed, the FFX 3.2+ installer will pick up on it and add it to FFX with no work required from yourself.

Considering Prem's clarification, well, THAT'S tedious. You'd have to go through, manually converting each and every fx .nif and entering their fx and sound data into FFEdit. And probably convert the .tga files into .dds so it picks up on them. There isn't a big compilation of FX for FFvTTR beyond EZFX 6.

6, though, will install itself.  If you use FFX, then just reinstall it after you install EZFX 6, and the install will set it up so that both work at once.

anyone else think it's an idea worth talking about, for a new ezfx. or it just not worth it really

No it's most definately worth it! And not only that but an ezvoicepack(but I guess that's another topic section <_<)

I would definitely be interested in a new ezfx. I've never really found the time to manually install many effects so my game is seriously lacking in places.

We already have something like that by CQ, and the CVP will be along those lines for generic voices.

In the voices/sound forums of course.  VPMax is right there.  GVP is unreleased, since we just started working on it last week.

well if there is interest would anyone be willing to step up and get the project going, from what i'm aware FF fxs can be transferred to FFvsTTR and there is a wealth fx out there at the likes of fx force etc that aren't in the second game, correct me if i'm wrong

Cry Havoc

I also think this is CERTAINLY worth doing, as this would greatly round out all the heroes I have (I've had to make my Superman use the whirlwind effect instead of the wind fury effect which is only in EZFX 5.1 as far as I know). I could convert it of course, but it would be awesome just to have a new EZFX for ease of use.
