FFX Squared - Missing Graphics...

I noticed a strange problem that I'm having with FFX Squared for the original Freedom Force. Namely, missing graphics in the game's main campaign. For intance, Minute Man was missing his staff and in the danger room select screen he appears holding his staff, but has funky green and red textures on him.
So, I uninstalled everything and re-installed just the game. Guess what? Without FFX Squared installed, everything is normal. Minute Man has his staff and appears normal on the Danger Room select screen.

But the minute I installed FFX Squared again, the missing graphics and glitches were back.  :banghead: Any idea as to what could be causing this problem? Here is the order in which I installed everything, as per the online FAQ at Alex's Freedom Fortress:

1) Install Freedom Force
2) Install FF Editor (needed if you're modding or manually installing FX or voice packs)
3) Install FF patch v1.3 (needed to run if you have Windows XP SP2 or Vista)
4) Install EZFX 5.1
5) Install FFX Squared v 2.6 GOLD
6) Install EZ Hero v2.6
7) Delete the campdef.dat file located in:
    C:\Program Files\Irrational Games\Freedom Force\Data
(If that file exists. If not, then good.)
8) Right-click the game's shortcut, then click Properties
Under Target on the Shortcut tab, add -log after the quotes
The Target line should look like this:
    "C:\Program Files\Irrational Games\Freedom Force\fforce.exe" -log

Perhaps there is more to installing FFX than just what is listed here?

I figured it out! It was the fact that I kept also installing the Character Tool along with FFX Squared. The moment I uninstalled the Character Tool, everything looked as it should. Now, I've finally got FFX Sqaured along with EZ FX and the other important programs to play nicely with Freedom Force.
