Position in CTool?

Is there a way to change the height & distance of a mesh to display differently in the CTool - I need to take some snaps of Powerman & he looks fine with his normal keys but if I place in any other to get different animations then he's to close to the screen

If you hold Shift or Control while dragging the figure with the pointer, it will either move it up or down or toward or away from you. I don't remember which way is which right now.
