Alex's mother

The mother of Alex Benavides - the guy who runs Alex's Freedom Fortress (among the oldest FF related sites out there) - passed away over the weekend.

I'm not sure how often he even gets here anymore, but I'm sure a lot of us old timers remember him, and I suspect you newer folks at least get stuff from his site.

Really sad news.
Alex's was my first FF site and I got a lot of content from there.He is one of the reasons this game is still alive.
I don't know if messages from unknowns will help, but sometimes is good to know there are people supporting you. I'll be sure to write him.

I am terribly sorry to hear this. I know his pain. I recently lost a friend over on the Total War forums. I pray for him and his family that they can get through these tough times.

I could never imagine what he's going through right now; this must be such a difficult period for him. I hope he takes all the time he needs to heal, and he'll be in everyone's thoughts.
