FX Request/Suggestion thread

I was wondering if someone could create a cone FX or two.

The first one would be a cone FX resembling Havok's energy signature, the rings of plasma.

The second would be a green vertigo cone, that could be used by Vertigo and Count Vertigo.

I'd give it a shot, but I'll defer to Prev since he is much better at fx than I am.  I know he is planning on a big release soon, and those fx might be in there.

i made a basic red cyclops cone using the canary cry as a base (hopefully not offending anyone at the same time).

this thread is over a year old, buddy. I already made the vertigo cones LP wanted (and begged for... you should have seen it. He even made Iceman his idol. So sad).

hey guys. I have some requests:

pumpkin bombs

shields for others than cap (guardian, battlestar, etc)

sports based stuff for sportsmaster

rings for ringer

Pumpkin bombs already exist for both games. Check out FRP2 and FXForce. Shields of various types exist (Gren and Ren created quite a few for whichever specific character they meshed back then). Tommyboy made a whole sportsmaster pack and it's easily available on his site.

Ok, when I go to run the editor it errors out and says im missing a dll file. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to create a few FX's for me and put them into an installer like fxforce.

98% of the FX from FF1 work fine in FFv3R minus minor cosmetic differences. What type of DLL issues are you getting? What's the file that's missing? You may just need to redownload the editor.

The dll might also be in the "wrong" location. I know I've had a case where I had a similar problem, and the dll was not in the directory that the program was looking for it in. I just copied the dll to that directory and everything was fine. I'm pretty sure it was back when I first started FFv3R.

Ok guys, I got it installed in the right directory. I went to run it, it opened into the normal game, gave me an error about the level editor only being for use....? and then shut down. Now I can't even open my game. Help!

Because you didn't launch ffedit (FFEdit.exe)... you tried to launch leveleditor (ffvt3rEdit.exe), which is incorrect.

Hmm, after I did this I couldn't even open FFVTR at all
