...nevertheless, I will ask it.  Will there be no FR secret gift exchange this year?  I've largely been too busy to participate in these events over the past few years, though it always warmed the cockles of my heart to know that the custom was still alive and well ("and living in," as Mr. Anderson once added).  I am tempted, now, to try to contribute to such an event, though there is no possible way that I could ever organise such an effort.

Any takers?

Even though i didn't participate in any, i just want to say that i thought it was a pretty nice tradition....

More or less, Outcast, though I don't "think" he organized the final 2 or 3 iterations. Secret Santa actually hasn't been done in 3 or so consecutive years, right? Kind of short notice to start up one now, me thinks.

There was a such a poor turnout on the last one, I think it was given up on.  Oh, and some of the people who did participate didn't receive gifts.

Pretty much sums it up.  If you guys want to have one for next year, bring this topic up again sometime in July.  That would give more people more time to work on their gifts.

Actually, I had been thinking about a forum-wide skinner's challenge to do the silliest Christmas super-hero. Last year I did Sandy Claws. This year, so far I have Super-Santa, The Christmas Knight and his sidekick Partridge, Wonder Elf, and The Infragable Krunk. There are several I am trying hard NOT to do...

What I mean is, ANYONE could enter. If they could skin, ever wanted to skin, thought they might want to skin, never wanted to skin, if they could lay in block color over a C6 base and set the blend mode so that it colored the base, if they could kittbash with the best of them (on permitted skins-mine for instance), if they wanted to load their own skins and use the sliders in Photoshop to trim them out in red and green,if they pasted a bunch of stuff into a skin from someplace else, ANYTHING. Christmas, New Year, Hannuka, Quansa, Winter Solstice, Saturnalia, The Feast of the Pig... whichever holiday you celebrate just do something.

I though about telling the meshers and those whose skills lie in SFX or voices (do we have a Santa voice?) that they would be welcome to contribute anything they wished (I knew meshing was hard, but from what I'm reading in this book... YEESH!).

No prize but the pleasure of participating in something rather silly and getting a bunch of skins and maybe some other stuff that won't be used until next year when someone does a Christmas mod.

I was thinking of making a Character Obscura 7 just for posting the stuff. It would not require membership so I would check it every day for porn.
