The Fenris Wolf

Inspired by all of Grenadier's Asgardian goodies, I decided to skope (possibly?) the one mesh he didn't have on his plate. I have created a 2-pack including his traditional wolf form and the more recently shown werewolf-looking form. The Fenris Wolf is supposed to have shapechanging ability, so I guess they decided to implement that. I used Bevo's awesome Werewolf skope (of Lord Ehmsidy's original) as a base for the two-legged version, then transplanted the head to Beyonder's Dire_Wolf_large for the traditional version.
Thank you to all meshers for using their work, of course, but a special thanks to Bevo for granting me permission to use his really unique and outstanding werewolf head and to Laughing Paradox for helping to solve a reflection issue on the wolf collar and chain.

Two-legged Fenris is in the 15 to 18 ft. range in height and wolf Fenris is small enough to be able to bite off Tyr's hand, yet big enough to devour Odin (for those who know your Norse mythology).

My apologies to everyone. I was alerted that the wolf mesh had some issues with the head detaching during a few animations. I've taken a look at fixing the problem (attaching it to a different node, etc), but it looks like it's going to take some time to get things right. I've done the basic troubleshooting. There's no NiSkinInstance on the mesh pieces I'm attaching. I originally attached the head to the Neck node. I tried the Head node and that didn't do the trick. Because the head in the original mesh moves, I figured attaching it to the Spine 1 node wouldn't work. Should I try one of the Clavicle nodes? Anyway, gang, I'm sorry for the premature release (that didn't sound right ). I'll try to get this done tonight.
   Thanks, herodad.  ;)

That is one fantastic looking werewolf!

I don't know much about Thor's universe, but I hope this guy shows up in the upcoming live-action film!

All the credit for the werewolf goes to Bevo. It was a skope, but the head (which really makes the mesh) was his creation.

The Fenris Wolf has been fixed. I decided to use Beyonder's original Wolf mesh instead of the Dire Wolf and things worked out better than expected. The head stays connected and moves appropriately with all of the animations. The collar also stays with the neck during animations, as on the first skope, it would shift around a bit. I guess since the Dire Wolf mesh was already a modified version of the Wolf mesh, it didn't take to skoping as well as the original. The 2-pack has been re-uploaded to the Yahoo site: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/hoss20/
Thanks to all for your interest and I just wanted to let everyone know that these meshes should work for both  :ff: and  :ffvstr:

Great job!  I'm looking foward to using this in my game.

Fantastic job!  Now the asgardians have one more baddie to beat up.

Awesome Hoss!  While both of those are great skopes (and good skins too!), I think that I like that bipedal version best.  He looks downright menacing!
