Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
However I didn't really know if it is a skin problem, nifskope problem or Blender problem.acter has a relf

Ok I created a weapon in Blender lets say a hammer with thorns on it.
I texture it no problem.
Open it in Nifskope and skope it on the hand of the said character.
I then open it in Ctool ok now he is the problem.
It looks fine in Nifskope but when I open it in Ctool it comes out Glossy and shiny.
I don't know why and it is driving me crazy.
Played around with the refl.and the Glow for what seems like forever now and nothing seems to work.
Can someone help me out?

Outcast

I'm not sure about this, but if your weapon has texture files like weapon.tga, weapon_refl.tga,weapon_glow.tga. Try making the last two files, all black using photoshop, gimp or paint shop pro. See if that will make them less glossy and shiny.

Cyber Burn

Paint.Net is a free program that you could also use.

Just out of curiosity, does the weapon have (.TGA) or (.DDS) files attached to it?

That's something that I thought of, as well, Cyber. The Blender exporter for FFVTTR defaults to using the .dds format for texture files.

Well I played with the reflec n  glow  until I couldn't anymore.
Also what would make the difference on the tga or dds on the glossiness.

When skinning, the darker the (_refl.tga), the less gloss or reflection that shows in CTool. With a solid black (.TGA) removing it completely.
