CW trying for Wonder Woman again

Yep, another WW pilot.  Sounds like they may be going for the Batman Begins/ Arrow style again, which does not fit a character based on Greek mythology.  Here's a link to the article, but keep in mind that the writer mistakenly thought the code name used to disguise that is was WW was actually the character's name.  It's still Dianna Prince.

Allan Heinberg of DC has stated that Iris is just a code name for the auditions.

Are we reading the same article? Because I'm sorry, but that sounds like a pretty spot-on description of the character to me.

Eh no way.  While I'm sure some would enjoy endless subplots of a naked Wonder Woman having sex with various people and the main cast all having machinations and plots against one another, it would be far worse a departure than anything CW might do to it.   If HBO must have a DC series, than something like Lobo or Jonah Hex might be a better fix, but please don't let them touch the traditional superheroes.

Ehh, I can see what they're trying to do...but if you remove the mythology from WW, you remove what I think is a pretty important part of who she is.  I'd even be pretty content with them going the Thor route and implying that she wasn't from this Earth, as being a soldier from a small, isolated country is still a pretty far cry from being from a mythical, immortal, warrior culture run by women, not to mention being LITERALLY formed from clay.  I'm not saying that a TV should would or should tackle all of that on its first episode, and if this show were to come together, I'd be happy for them to try to gradually dip into the mythos, revealing "ohh! we tricked you!"  We've got shows like Grimm and that other fairy tale one on TV these days.  I don't think people would have that much trouble with a more faithful adaptation of the character.
