I just bought Office 2010 yesterday. I've been needing the software for sometime and finally just bought it. It has OneNote and I was exploring it a bit and it looks really cool. I can see how it could be very helpful for school and home. How do you guys use it?

Don't use it, but from what I've seen and experienced, it's a Microsoft copy of Evernote/Google's now defunct Notebook, right? If so, I used evernote/notebook for research purposes as well as to clip images that i may have had a use for. I also occasionally used it to take audio/written notes, which i would transfer elsewhere when time allowed.

They have it here where I work, but they aren't widely using it yet.

I recently learned about the linked notes feature which looks pretty handy... You can dock OneNote while you're browsing Office documents or websites via IE and take notes based on what you're browsing.  As soon as you start typing your note, it adds a link to the source document.  It also integrates really well with Sharepoint and you can share your notes via the web.

But I'm not sure yet whether I really like it or whether it's really going to help my productivity.
