Is it possible to skope keyframes so they will make a mesh appear to grow and shrink like tommyboys tf giantman?  If so how?"

As always any help would be most appreciated.

I've seen it done before but I'm not sure how the folks did it.  You might want to try asking Cyber or Afghan Ant, they might have a better grasp on it than I do.

as much as I respect cyber as a skoper, hes been really patient working with me, he has stated  alot of times that he doesn't do keyframes. I would suggest maybe hoss20 or detourne me.
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

Thank you for the vote of confidence DJ, but this sounds well above my current skill level.

Someplace (either here or Trinity of Freedom) someone asked something like this before. I remember there was an explanation, but I could barely use Nifscope at the time so I didn't copy it. You might try searching the archives...

Unless the scaling occurs in the original keyframes, this is a little difficult to do.
I have been able to change the orientation of animations before, thenks to whiteknight's tutorial.  I'm assuming the same could be done for scaling. it would be incredibly tricky as you would have to go into every single frame of animation and adjust the scale on the nodes you want.
The real hard part would be finding out exactly which numbers are connected to the nodes you want scaled.

When it comes to using meshes that already scale different pieces, it is useful to attach your new pieces to the nodes that are meant to be scaled.
For example, in AA's Superskrull, the 'skrully' parts like shoulder flaps and ears are attached to the collar node from the original morph mesh.  That works out well because those pieces are already being scaled in the keyframes.
I did a similar thing in my Antman skope. Texas Jack's Atom mesh uses three different skeletons, so for Antman's Helmet, or Giantman's antennae, I had to change their NifSkinInstances to refer to which skeleton was being scaled. like if it was Spine01, Spinoe01_1 or Spine01_2 for example.

Hi Detourne me and everyone else,

Thanks for the response.  Given the information below, would anyone know how the keyframes from Tommyboy's Wasptf mesh work?  They work on a male basic size character and cause him to grow and shrink in game in different animations.  This is similar to the growing shrinking animations that valandar made some time back.  I was hoping, no mater how tideous, that a person (i.e....me) with Nifskope could go in and modify other similar (male basic keyframes) to have the same effect.

Is the above not possible then?

Also, Detourne me, I really like your Antman skope and was thinking to utilize it to make Micron from JLU.  I recently saw where he could grow large in addition to small.  This would require me to hid the antman/giantman extras on the skope and add some egg shaped googles from one of Tommy's meshes.  Would this be hard to do?  Could you walk me through it?

Lastly, I was thinking to utilize the same mesh somehow to make Elastigirl from the Doom Patrol.  However, I would need to set it up so that the idle was normal human size, utilize a mesh like Crymsin for the female body, add a skirt, hair and hair band.  Is it as simple as renaming the keys and skoping the correct pieces onto the mesh?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Respectfully,
Io

Are you trying to do it for FF or FFvTR? I don't know about FF, but in FFvTR you should be able to do it if you modify the Scales in the NiKeyframeData (I can post a couple of images if you don't know how to find this part), but Detourne_me is right, you would have to modify the scales of the part that you want to grow/shrink for every animation.

Maybe you already know that these ones exist, but just in case:

- For male_basic meshes there are some size changer keyframes by Tommyboy. I think they make grow/shrink the entire body, included the extras:

- For a female body, the Stature skope by AA in Heroforce has grow/shrink animations too.

Hi Windblown,

Thanks.  I have those keys but would like to include some different animations.  I use FFvsTTR.  Any thoughts or suggestions are always appreciated!

Depending on what you want to do, you could just mix Val's and Tommyboy's growing keys together,   I would use Val's idle and melee_idle, because they seem to reset the size to male_basic, while Tommy's keys sometimes leave the character in a large or small size.
