Costume Rating 26: Scream

Now we're getting into the obscure. There was a storyline in the 90s where 5 more symbiotes were created from Venom. Most notably this was the basis for the video game Spider-Man Separation Anxiety. So this is Scream:

Scream was the only one of those 5 to carry forward from that storyline.

I know absolutely nothing about the character, but this is just a hideous design. This is even worse than Carnage. I think it actually physically hurts to even look at this costume.

1: Totally uninspired since it's just a female Carnage with yellow added and long flowing dredlock hair. Yellow and red mixed just make me think Firestar, Pyro, or someone who generates flame not a symbiote killer.

I remember her from Separation Anxiety, but that's pretty much it. Awful design.

2. I REALLY want to give this design a higher number, but my reasons for going so have more to do with me having the action figure as a kid and thinking "Hey, a female Symbiote character. That's awesome!" than any love for this particular design.

I went with a 2. It's fairly ugly, with the yellow and red not doing much and that awful supersized web hair. But the face looks fine (as it should it's basically Carnage), and I don't quite hate it.

Scream is slightly more interesting than the other Separation Anxiety Symbiotes because she actually stuck around after the story. Not that she was used much, I only know of two other stories that she appeared in. She was killed last year by Eddie Brock.
We'll probably be skipping the other four Separation Anxiety Symbiotes, but rest assured they only get worse.

Eh, kind of? Scream is at least visually interesting, and there was more to her then a one note villain in some 90s Spiderman story. The other Symbiotes are just... eh. Nothing unique or interesting.
