Why is there a "fire" texture in some of Tommy's TV meshes?

I was wondering if anyone knew.

tommy liked using the same texture base when he built new models.

And some of his meshes had particle FX that used the fire.tga.   The TV meshes may not have had them automatically, but the future versatiles did.  And as Bearded said, he kept his texture bases.
