Help with a scope

I can't tell you why I got on a kick doing time themed characters, but I did. Now I'm working on Time Commander, and wondered about his hourglass and how to use it. I've seen an action figure that uses a Green Lantern power battery as an hourglass, but let's face it, it isn't. Tommy has an hourglass with his Tom Versatile mesh, but it's small.

I'll listen to any suggestions or ideas.

Would re-sizing the Hourglass work?

Renegade also has hourglasses on his Hourman meshes. They are sized to the chest area, but could probably be re-sized to work on TC.
