Pics of a quill cone fx for LP's and JP's (and Vertex's and C6's) new Porcupine skin/mesh.  Included is a sound effects file.  Its okay at best, but better than nothing.

Poor Porky,  he can't get any respect, even in a thread dedicated to an fx for him.  :(

Rock on!

That fx looks great. Can't wait to get it in the game.

USAgent

Those looks really good Xeno!  I will definatly be using those in my Porcupine updated hero file!

Thanks all.  I hope you like it in game.  Thanks to Previsionary for lending some advice.

I'm working on something for the Riddler, Cluemaster and the Eraser right now.  Hopefully I'll finish them up in a few days.  They are beam attacks with a blank beam nif, and a billboard end nif that reads "Befuddled" in green for the Riddler and in yellow-orange for Cluemaster.  I'm not sure what the Eraser's will read.  Ideas?  Anyway, FFX doesn't support direct attacks, so this would ideally be a low power beam attack which would leave the target confused for a while, giving time for the villain to run away or land a few well placed punchs.

i've installed it all correctly (i think)
however the effects im seeing in game don't look like your pics above.
Looks more like a generic cone wave with extending rings, not spikes.
Any ideas why? (im running ffvttr)

Can I install this FX individually with EZFX 6.0 already installed? I haven't installed individual FX in about 3-4 years. I don't remember how to. As for the SFX is there a faq explaining how to safely do all this without screwing everything  up? This is a really cool FX that I want to add to USAgents herofile of both of my Porcupines. Old and new. Any advice would be appreciated. Great job of making my favorite character look even better on screen.

Previsionary

yes, fx can be installed in conjuction with ezfx and ffx. Install instructions should come with the fx, but they're also on fxforce and, I think, the FR wiki.

I didn't include instructions with my fx, sorry about that.  Basically follow the instructions for any other fx, but set it up as a cone attack.  I selected "chest" as the starting point.  If you have trouble, let me know and I'll try to send you better instructions.

Thanks. I will try and install it tonight. If I have any problems I will let you know. I did go to FXforce and found a faq. I didn't want to attempt it until I was sure about not screwing anything up.

I got the fx working fine. I can't get any sound with the sfx. Are there any faq's for installing fx sounds? I did mess with the sound tab in FFedit but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Give me some time and I'll grudgingly rewrite my faq for installing sounds since the thread it was in was removed. If you can't really wait, there's a few threads about this in the archives.

I forget about the archives. I'll look it up and see if I can find it. Thanks.
