ooo, that looks awesome, AA. I'm going to second the Hercules request. You know you want to do it. And then you can do a Asgardian mod and bring in Hulk and Cho and it'll be awesome awesome...yep.

*wishful dreaming commences*

Maybe, just maybe I'll do Herc but I would probably be a version not done though.

After looking at some of Marvel Herc's costumes...uhmmm maybe not but I do like DC Hercules. I like the whole male Wonder Woman vibe.

captmorgan72

I actually like DC's version of Hercules too. He just looks better somehow. Here take a look http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n301/captmorgan72/DCHercules.jpg
I love that he is wearing the Nemean Lion skin as a cape. Yeah AfghanAnt, this version of Hercules has never been done before and seeing how well you did Ares, I can only imagine how incredibly awesome it would be.

Gremlin

Actually, if you're looking for war gods I'd reccomend looking up Aztec, African or Asian gods--far more interesting visually than the usual Euro-centric guys, not to mention extra credit for characters people normally wouldn't have heard of.

detourne_me

holy crap, both ares and thor look absolutely stunning.
i'm itching to see what keyframes you've got for thor.
am i right in guessing that ares is built off of the usagent_omega or the bucky_cap meshes?
i think that those would be the only keyframes to allow a gun, as well as perpetually weilding something in the left hand and sometimes weilding something in the right...

i'm probably off though.

You are not off. I used Bucky Cap.

Ares came out great AA.
Oh how I wish I could get more skinning done. Everytime I come in this thread I feel like a slacker.

I'm such a slacker for not getting this shipped out yet.

So is that DC Hercules looking like a possible future project AfghanAnt? If yes, pretty please pick the version I posted, that one is so very cool.

steamteck

Ares looks fantastic! As do Thor and all the others. Your skill level with this stuff is just getting amazing. The textures are just incredible and the expressions really convey character. My words are inadequate.

Not sure yet, I have a lot of other obligations first.

Thanks!

Also if anyone was wondering what I might add to that list click here.

Spoiler
I know! The New Immortals! Oh wait no one else remembers them...well they were in the first Thor comic I bought as a kid (it took me forever to track down info on these guys because I forgot their names). Basically they were clones created from Thor's facial hair and blood by Highly Evolutionary. I decided to add them because the image at Marvunapp is actually an image I used in like 5th grade art to make a construction paper replica. I wish I could find that image, maybe next time I'm at my Mom's house I'll look for it.

Just to add my compliments for some great looking skins.
I like that with Ares you haven't used a bunch of detailed musculature on the arms and legs to suggest strength and power (which is what I'd probably have tried, and failed, to do), and yet he looks both strong and powerful. It's true, less is sometimes more.
Not that the skin lacks detail, far from it. And the detailing is excellent.
He's another character I don't like, but your skin is so good he'll end up in my game.
You're also winning me over on the Coipel Thor look. Classic Kirby Thor is still my preference, but your skins are wearing that prejudice down.
Great stuff.

i'd go with the marvel herc IF you were thinking of doing him to stay with the theme of marv.'s ares and thor.those both look incredible!never really liked the look of dc's version of herc.too clean shaven and looks more like the big eternal...uhhh...cant remember his name.oh yeah..no mace please.its all knuckles for the prince of power.

Thanks Tommy. Yeah I know what you mean. I tend to go for a detail yet simple look with my work. I would definitely think artist like Oliver Coipel and Jim Chueng where there is a ton of detail but nothing is overly drawn especially the human form.

I understand your feeling about Kirby Thor. I would skin him but I'd feel like I was competing with existing skins.

I honestly don't see the point of going with Marvel Hercules. C6's just recently did one on Tommyboy's mesh. Either way, Herc is at the lower end of things I'm going to skin. I've got a few obligations for someone and than I'm going finally finish some older skins (basically reskinning them... <_<..I'm so lazy).

I think the Big Eternal you are talking about may be Gilgamesh. Who I thought about skinning actually until I saw what the did with him the current Eternals title.

detourne_me

Wow! your banners are great too.  shame we can't use them here or at freedom-united.
i especially like the marvelman and spiderboy banners.

Thanks for the most recent release, some great stuff in there.
Plus, it cannot be said often enough what a great site Heroforce is, with three talented skinners at the top of their game producing a wealth of content. Thanks for that, too.

detourne_me

Thank you for the releases!  all the keyframe sets are great too, i especially like how sunfire has true japanese keyframes! ^^

miguelyanke

AA there are some skope problems:
AA Origins: jimmies in his hands do strange movements (possible solution: delete Skininstance and place them in the hand node)
Blink_AOA: her "skirt" also moves strangely (possible solution: re-structure the "skirt" into her body or eliminate Skininstance and transform it into a static object... at least it won't do something strange), it's the same with the center ball in her necklace
Sabertooth_AOA: happens the same with jimmies than in Blink
the_Rival_AA: The problem is in the scuare in his belt it's not linked into belt node or use the skinstance

Kfs and Skins are wonderfull, i'll re-build my aio_sunfire over it XD

Thnx mister

EDIT: Soooo I looked over the skopes and the Blink/Sabertooth necklace issues is related to keyframes as there are no skininstances on those.
Blink's loincloth was screwed up by me (my bad) I moved it without realizing it. However the detachment from the back skirt has always been an issue with the mesh. I updated the pak with the skirt move back to the proper place.

I actually tried that with the Rival's belt and it would not stay put regardless.

laughing paradox

Really good stuff, AA.

I'm most impressed with Ares. Lots of great work put in it. I love the details of the dents in his armor.. very nice.

Sledgehammer

Great stuff here, AA. Being a X-Men fan, the AoA pack is a must for me. But Ares is too meticulously skoped, that I cannot help but appreciate your tremendous, detailed work. Fantastic.

I second that. Heroforce is a site I'm continuously checking. Three prolific AND talented skinners together? What's not to like?

docdelorean88

Loving spiderboy! Do wish there were swinging keyframes, but other than that it looks awesome!

I tried but the keyframes wouldn't take, I guess I could have built him on a different mesh but I loved the idle so much. Maybe I'll do better skope with different keyframes over the weekend. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

Blue Beetle mesh? But for you next up WATCHMEN SKINS ON TOMMY"S NEW MESHES!!!!

AfghanAnt

I don't know if I style fit the retro Watchmen look. I personally think Tommyboy hit is right on the head.

ghazkul

I agree, Spiderboy is a great mesh, but some of it is off just slightly. Like for instance, the cuff on his right sleeve floats off the mesh and (this is just a personal thing) the mesh would look better if he drew the webshooter when needed. The Blue Beetle mesh is definetly the best place to start i think. Apart from that, it can only be described by the word EPIC!
