I feel like dusting off my long boxes and re-reading AoA now. Are you planning on skinning anything outside of the characters from the two X-Men titles from AoA?

Probably not. I mean I dont even know if I want to skin Apocy. I might revisit Nate Grey because I've always liked that character.

I've been sitting on these for a while because I thought I was going to release a lot more before now but I've been busy working on hero files (I have over 65 ready to launch). But anywho, here are a character I throw together.


Daken, Dark Wolverine
I really hated his cowl because he looks just like Wolverine and I wanted to visually set them apart.


Sinister Spider-man Full View
Basically black costume Spidey but with a bulkier base and one TJ's male_symbiote.


Still working on the Amazing X-Men but I sort of lost interest in them (and DCNU Superman/Boy).

AA... I'm nonplussed with this update. Firstly, you skinned Daken. I hate that character, especially in his new costume. That's a major strike against me, and I may have to drop Podmark as my enemy and make YOU my enemy. Secondly, you skinned Sinister Spider-man, and I really liked how you pulled that off. That's a major plus. We're on neutral ground, frenemy.

Actually, I do have something more to say about Daken. I'm not really feeling how you did his eyes when I think about how the character's (weird) face has been drawn. It's a bit too "squinty" (no offense) and shadowed. I also think the claws could stand to be shortened a bit, but that could be the angle of the character in ctool since it can get wonky with stuff like that.

I see what you are saying Prev but what I don't get about how people draw Daken is he's half Japanese and I swear he looks like a generic thug with Wolverine claws. I could probably shorten the claws a bit.

Oh BTW if you have a mod idea you need some help on I would be for it - nothing forces me to get work out like deadlines.

This is true about Daken. He's never looked particularly Japanese in any of his incarnations.



I'm not going to commit to anything because I'm way too busy, and I know how I am with mods of late, lol. Though with you completing two more characters I needed way back when, I can feasibly see me combining the idea we spoke about a year ago + the Dark Avengers one into something simple/fun. Christmas is coming up, right? I do have a tradition to uphold.... I might PM you sometime soonish if I can get back into an FF mood.

I think they're both great. Daken doesn't interest me much as a character but the work is great, definitely an improvement over the generic snarling look.  Dark spidey is always great- that may be the best one yet. It always bothered me that the other dark spider skins (while great) were just re-skinnings of a regular spider man mesh and didn't make him look more muscular.

Classic Kara and Linda are beautiful.  Maybe it's just the image, but Matrix shoulders looks a little large.

That is a fantastic set of skins AA.  You've got some really great work there.  I really like the Cir-el and the little kid one.  I think the faces on both of them are really excellent.  However, I think the face on Linda Danvers is missing something.  I'm not quite sure what it is...but maybe her chin has too much emphasis and her nose is a bit too small?  I'm not sure, and maybe it's just me who sees it that way.  All-in-all though, these are great!

Great batch of skins and skopes. The little details are awesome, like the boots on the white-shirt Supergirl, or the belt on the last one. The little girl (Is that Supergirl One Million?) is really cool looking. I love Cir-El  here as well.
