Personally I hope tim finds bruce and becomes robin again. if not I probably will stop reading batbooks all together.
we finally got bart and conner back and tim is not even robin anymore-

Mesh looks great Tommy.
How old is Tim supposed to be anyway? I had him at 17 after OYL. A smaller build for Tim might be good.

I got no problem with Tim being Tim Wayne after the adoption, makes sense. Not happy with the angsty direction though.
And is Cassandra now a Wayne? She was supposed to have been adopted at the end of her mini?

Was Bruce and Alfred the Brad and Angelina of the superhero world? If so, they need to get a black one.

I think I'm alone in loving Damien as Robin. He's sassy and oddly appealing as a character. I think Tim becoming Robin again would be like Dick trying to be Robin again. It just won't work. Unless there is Zero Hero Crisis or something I don't see it happening. Also even though I'm dealing with Tim as Red Robin it always made more sense for Jason Todd to be Red Robin (Red Hood and all).

Nah you're not alone...I like Damien as Robin as well. ;) Maybe we should move this to the comic thread? :)
I can't help it that I look so good baby! I'm just a love machine!

So true. Sorry for the threadjack Tommy.

tommyboy

Get off my lawn you darn kids *shakes fist*...
it ain't like this thread sees much mesh related activity nowadays, anyhow.
I'll join you in this "other thread" to continue the bat-family discussions.

Cyber Burn

I'm always glad to see new Tommyboy meshes. Hope your other project is working out alright.

Work in progress, updating my old human robot. Still a lot of work needed on both mesh and skin, but he's beginning to look closer to the modern M11:

I may even throw in some mr_fantastic style arm extension animations if I have the energy...

That human robot looks very cool Tommy. Can't wait to see the final version and those Mr Fantastic style arm extension keyframes.

Yes! I've been waiting for someone to tackle M-11! Great. Maybe "thicken" up the arms and shrink the visor a little.

Yep.
Arms need to be thicker at the top and taper into the wrists, and the visor could be less tall (though it's one of those "variable" features where one artist/panel shows one size and another shows another. But both of those things will/are being attended to.

Could you possible keep the body with untapered arms as hexxable choice?  It would be awesome to be able to create robots typical  to 1960s style sci-fi comics a la Magnus Robot Fighter:

The tapering should be subtle, but if not, I'll maybe whip up some "generic" hexxable robotic types for robot fighters to err...fight..

daglob

Magnus-type robots were be great. After all, they had them in Sky Captain, too.

And the robots from the old Superman cartoon...

And Gort-not the new one, the big, stiff one from the original movie...

...well, I can dream, can't I.

tommyboy

What a difference a few years make. Or even a few days...
Left to right, "my" old Human_robot_t ("my" because all of the geometry and parts were from Grenadiers or Irrationals Max files, tweaked a little by me, and the skin was a  badly recoloured c6 base), then Human_robot_tf from 2 days ago, and how he looks now (both the new ones are of course all my own).

I'm not really looking forward or wanting to add in the stretchy arm animations, I might make a start on them tomorrow if I have the energy.

Outcast

It's a huge difference Tommy. Great work!

C'mon Tommyboy, go! go! go!  Up and at 'em, Tiger.  Woot!  Woot!

That's the most energy I can lend you.  :)

Podmark

Wow that is a huge difference there. I love the smaller details like the shape of the bottom torso and top of the upper leg plate.

Thanks.
There was a time when I'd have been quite happy with the middle version, and released it as it was. But I'm trying to push myself a little bit harder, to do a better job rather than just quickly fire off "adequate" versions. And to do it for almost every character. There's still plenty of room for improvement, but, I hope, less room than there used to be. I might never get back to a mesh a day territory, but I'd rather have the right hand human_robot a week or two later, rather than the middle version in a day.
(Oh, and I'm kind of thinking some other Agents of will follow, for fans of that series).

John Jr.

Impressive work as always, Tommy!
I already have your (great) Marvel Boy, and i am very glad to see your Human Robot is still better. The color scheme of the final version is just perfect, much superior of the 2nd (that was very good, too). The metal effect of the torso and head is the best part IMHO.
You will made the other Agents? Great news!

laughing paradox

Great Human Robot! I'm looking forward to the other Agents as well.

Cyber Burn

not real familiar with the character, but i can defenitely see the progress. great job.

tommyboy

ta.
It's going to be a while now as I'm having some serious PC problems. I think my c: drive is failing, but I only bought it 2-3 months ago, so it shouldn't be dying yet (unless I'm just unlucky), so maybe its the hdd controller on the main board. Either way I cant mesh with bluescreens and system crashes, so for a while M11 is in a holding pattern...

Green Hornet

You can download windows debugger from microsoft and run the files located in C drive-windows-minidump run the files through the debugger file-open crash dump and this will give you information on what is causing your blue screens  :rickbm

Sorry to hear about your computer problems Tommy.
