Mixed up mods?

Good evening, veterans. Another newbie question from me, sadly. I have purchased FF & FFVTTR & installed both. I have also loaded in the DC mod for FF & the Crisis & JLU Dark Intentions mods for FFVTTR. I have noted that after playing them for a few days, the save & load games are getting messed up. That is, I see the FFVTTR saved games when playing Crisis. Same for Dark Intentions...shows me the FFVTTR saved games. It's like I can't ever play the right game if I ever have to save the game. Very interesting. Thought I'd see if anyone else has had this happen. I must confess that I loaded a torrent of FFVTTR on my PC first, but realized that was wrong & purchased it from someone off Amazon. I did completely remove it before putting on the fresh install of FFVTTR, but I see that my old saved games problem still exists. Thank you for your guidance!

Unlike the original Freedom Force which has a separate saved games folder for each mod, FFvT3R stores all of its saved games in one place. So, it's not surprising that the Crisis and JLU saved games show up whenever you go to open or save a game from any FFvT3R mod. If you are having trouble telling the saved games from the different mod apart, you might want to add something to the file names when you save them.

Yeah, it's one of the few steps backward introduced in the later game.  I make sure to name all my saves so I can tell which is which.

Oh, OK, so there's some free text available when you save a game? I hadn't noticed that...will have to give that a whirl & see what happens. I noticed weird stuff like it was mixing up the characters in the mods, as well, like you'd have Hal Jordan GL in a mission where it was supposed to be John Stewart, stuff like that. Or it would run a FFVTTR saved game & you could move a character, but the character wouldn't show, just their "circle" on the ground. Anyway, will have @ it & keep you all posted. Thank you for your guidance!

Yeah, loading one mod's save in another mod can have weird effects like that.

The save names it gives you are only suggested names.  You can erase and overwrite them completely, which I always do.
