While I haven't conversed with him personally on the subject, from what I gathered from his farewell post, that didn't have as much to do with his departure as real life and personal reasons did.  I don't think it would be appropriate to send him a message saying "hey, IPS is banned; you can come back now".

I think his motivation was that if the majority of FF content posts were removed from this message board that folks would have no choice but to flock over to Freedom United.

While I haven't said much on the matter and I totally dis-approve of IPS's actions... I will ask you to not make baseless accusations.  There is history between you and IPS and it started long before Freedom United was created.  FU was and is Vertex's idea which he conceived months ago... prior to any of the recent B.S. which went down.

You and several others in authority here... have issues with any site you perceive as a threat.  I probably still have the messages to prove it... and a few people can probably recall a few actions which suggested it as well.

So please... do not go around dropping seeds of 'IPS= Freedom United' and using this incident to discredit a forum which had NOTHING to do with what he has done.

He is not a mod... nor is he an administrator.  And if hosting space becomes an issue... trust me... Vertex knows where he can get hosted if he needed it.   

Deal with this IPS incident however you see fit... but do not drag others down with him.

At this point, I don't know that there's anything new to say about this.  Those of you that feel the need to discuss things further can find other places to do so.  However, nothing is happening here that is useful or productive, so I'm locking this thread.
