Great job on the warp free female mesh Tomato.

Heh I could actually skin Microbe now. But would I want to?

UnkoMan

I applaud this.

Not the skinning of Mircobe. The meshes.

I've decided to make my "Amazon" rendition a bit more like AA's recent Starfire, so that it'll be built more like She-Hulk than Eve. As such, I've gone ahead and made my base female mesh what I consider 'basic,' as well as made some minor updates to the UV map(mostly around the face). Feel free to comment on it, I have no illusions about having perfect judgement, so let me know what you think.

AfghanAnt

From what I can see she looks good - can we see the wireframe?

Tomato

grah.. I will, but I can't tonight. My computer can only connect via dsl, which I can't get to ATM, and my PS3 won't allow me to upload images and files  :(

I should have it up tomorrow... possibly the 'complete' mesh too, but I'll give it a day or so for you guys to nitpick.

how tall is she compared to the normal  female basic

@TUE: She should be about as tall as female basic. Thing is, it's so easy to change the "height" via nifskope (by adjusting the size of the handle node) that I normally leave the scale alone in max. In the end, if only the handle node is mucked with, it doesn't cause as many problems when you move over extras.

@AA: Here's the new wireframe for you

For those few of you I sent the unedited version, you'll notice a few additions too. As to what they're for, well... let's just say I do listen to some of what's said in the body type tread.

Speaking of...

Looks good, Tomato.

I'm curious, on the wiremap, what are the pieces underneath the arm on the left side?

Will you be releasing a base skin with these, like with your male meshes?

detourne_me

Looking Great!
I still haven't had a chance to play around with the new meshes yet!

Underneath the arm are actually two different sets... the smaller ones are the inside of the fingers, and the larger one is for a variant section of the boot.

That is currently my intent, yes. I want to release bases with most of these skins, even if I have to make one myself...

I appreciate that you are sharing the process of skin creation.  From the standpoint of someone who isn't yet a skinner, the process is fascinating and educational.

Thats what I've been waiting for! I hope you guys like X-kids because I'll be putting these to use one day.

Insides of the fingers? Wow that's intricate.
A good place for tatoos. I have a friend with teardrops on the insides of his index fingers.  So when he does the "crybaby" expression, you can actually see the teardrops. so funny.

Hopefully we'll be seeing a Pixie soon from you Pod!

I actually have the same sort of thing for my Male meshes as well... mainly because I know from experience how much of a pain fingered meshes can be when you want to skin a character with differently colored fingers.

Hey 'Mato, these are looking good!  It looks like you may have tweaked the knee joint on your amazon a bit after our conversation, but I think you should tweak just a bit more.  The size of the joint itself doesn't quite fit the build.

Everything is being uploaded now, should be done in a few minutes. Go nuts people!

I've noticed that new female meshes all seem to be off center in nifskope, they're ahead of the vertical axis with the biped behind them in line with it. Is this intentional?

Kind of... I had an issue where the feet were behind the main body whenever I used most keyframes, so I adjusted the body to compensate. *shrug* it's an easy fix to go the other way, I'll fix it sometime today... whenever I get around to it  :P.

In the meantime... Something I've been working on off and on.
