Actually, I think it would be funnier if he gets his superpowers advice from a comic-book nerd.  You know... one of us.

Hm, expanding on that idea... it would be totally in-character for Agent Maxwell to shanghai a geek to tell Ralph how he should be using the suit.  He himself would know absolutely nothing about comic books, being more of a conspiracy nut.

I agree with this part, but for a completely different reason.  Unless you're going to make it into a period piece, an ultralight is a *horrible* idea, as it just screams 80's.  The last things I can actually recall seeing ultralights in was McGuyver and The A-Team.  On top of that, if flying an ultralight is the worst thing his "trouble" students can come up with, that pretty much says "spoiled rich kids from an 80's show".

I don't remember the origin, since I actually hated the show, and refused to watch it.  How about he's wandering around in the desert for whatever reason (dumped out there as a prank by aforementioned students), and he stumbles/falls into some sort of cavern.  Inside he finds the suit, in excellent condition, along with either some kind of alien body/artifact, or it's on the body of it's last owner, a desiccated human corpse.  Either way, it should be obvious that it's been out there for quite a long time (I don't know where the show was based, but could it be tied in with the Roswell area, desert-wise?).  Maybe have a "manual", and he's able to read perhaps the foreword, about it's there for some reason (whether it was originally in English, or transcribed by the previous owner), but before he's able to get much further (like how to use *any* of it), it crumbles to dust.

Well, that's my input, for what it's worth.

One of my favorite super hero movies.  I saw Meteor Man before seeing ConeHeads and I had no more laughter left for the latter.

Mr. Hamrick

Ok gang, it's been a long and busy past few days for me and for Brad.  I've been down at the Atlanta Film Festival and Brad has been juggling some personal issues while sorting through stuff that the studio sent him.  The following is an email I received from him this morning.

Quote
I know A LOT of you keep speaking of the pilot episode, and how the story needs to be like it in this way, and that. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I am updating the origin, and taking a "villain" from it; that's all.  I received all of the material the studio has archived on TGAH, including 39 un-aired screenplays. I've taken another "villain" from one of those as well. There is so much great stories in the series, some seen, and unseen besides the pilot.

Gary, as we discussed about the "villains", I explained that for example Arliss Loveless from Wild West only appeared maybe 2 times at the most in the show. I enjoyed his recreation for the movie and the updated origin as well, which I am following suit with TGAH.

As far as casting goes, I have no control over that, but I myself put in my ideas of casting. Which we discussed on the phone. Or shall I say disagreed.....LOL!  I have seen a sketch of the "updated" first draft of the suit. No worries there for the most part. I have discussed briefly with you Gary on my story direction and how the villains, Ralph and the crisis all fit together. As of right now, I am still going forward with that. I recieved an email today from Willaim Katt and he expressed some ideas and concerns. I emailed back with mine, and his replied said only this "Sounds great!" As much as I personally want his involvement, I'm not now, or will in the future seek his "final approval". I answer to the fans in the long run, and above that, the studio. I am asking people I know, and I will ask here for ideas as to what the symbol means. That was never touched on, and I believe that to really explore the origin, that must be established. So, take a stab at it........

I think that pretty much updates everyone on the status of TGAH.  I left out Brad talking about the personal stuff because it's personal.  One last thing for all of you.

QuoteOK, also, I invite you to add me to facebook.com (Bradley Edward Grant), twitter.com (BradleyGrant), and/or myspace.com/legion2576. I keep those updated. I did a good job keeping them updated the whole time we were shooting H2.

Talk amongst yourselves.
