Hey guys,

I'm trying to make a mission down in Atlas Park.  I'm wanting to use the City Hall normal map (Unique; Outdoor Maps; Atlas Park, or something) but MA gets an error.  It specifically doesn't like having Rescue hostages on that map and says I should find a larger map.  Funny thing is, the error goes away when I switch to the Meteor'd version of AP, which is smaller. :banghead:  There's also the AP Ruined and AP Arachnos maps which really wouldn't work for the mission.

I've bought the Outdoor Map pack, so I'm not sure what else to do.  I guess I can switch to another city map, but AP just works so well for the mission.

Any ideas?

I had that same problem with that map a while ago (except with clickable objects rather than hostages). My guess is that each map has certain specific locations where things like hostages can potentially be, and that map just doesn't have very many of said locations.

There are definitely some annoying limitations in the MA. I still haven't figured out a way to do the final mission in my arc, which should be a really simple one... If I could only place bosses/elite bosses without then being accompanied by minions of any sort...

Specific Boss and EB/AV placement would be a great thing.  It must be possible -- check out posyhb's (sp?) final mission in his arc.

The funny thing about the AP maps is that the meteor one allows hostages, and it's either the same size or smaller.  I've switched to the Steel Canyon outdoor map, it'll work for now.

The point I was trying to make was, I don't think it has anything to do with the actual size of the map. I think each map contains specific, preprogrammed places where hostages, for example, might possibly appear. Apparently, the "regular" AP map has very few of these places, while the meteor map, regardless of relative size, has more.
