He's fantastic, 'Mato!  What a great skin, and a very simple, yet very fitting update.  Like I said on Discord, I love the face work and the hair, as well as the really excellent scale pattern.

So to give a bit more info, since I was kinda tired when I originally posted... Benton asked me to do a sort of "TAS styled" update for Aqualad, essentially modernizing the design while still keeping it simple and classic.

Entertainingly, I started out just by asking 'Mato to give the poor lad some pants at long last.

However, as he worked on him, he not only made that basic improvement to the design, he totally improved the design in general!  It's still classic, but a little sleeker and cleaner, and fitting with his mentor thematically even more.

So this has actually been done for like a week now, and I completely forgot to post it here. Sorry about that.

That entire area is warped badly due to mapping, with the space between the gloves and poofiest part of the sleeve being about 1 pixel thick. I did what I could with it in terms of adding depth and even tried to untangle the mapping, but no luck.

As I hope I've already said elsewhere, I love this.  It's a fantastic skin.  The extra flame in the skull is great!

So, real quick: At some point tonight, I will be deleting TGWTG Black from the website, and will be renaming the files for TGWTG Green to something like "Green Ranger Linkara". It's honestly something I should have done a year or so ago, but I've been so focused on CSA stuff I'd forgotten it was there.

Anyone who wants to download TGWTG Black is welcome to do so before I get to it, but any attempts to get it from me after that point will be ignored, and I'd greatly appreciate it if the skin wasn't redistributed in it's current form*.

And in case anyone is wondering why, let's just say Doug proved to be a less than stellar human and leave it at that.

*to be clear, anyone who wants to kitbash the skin into an actual black ranger is welcome to do so, but I want the skin as it currently exists (the tie, Doug's stupid face) to vanish from the earth.

Outsider is slowly coming along. I still have to do the hair and the waistcoat, but I'm reasonably happy with the face and some of the other outfit details.



Speaking of the face, I threw this together while I was working on it (done before I added the green to the facial hair and did the eye details). I've talked a bit before about my process of "photoskinning" faces, but this should give you guys a better idea of what goes into that. Essentially, I use the photoskin as a skeleton, and add details over top of it to give it more depth and to make it match the rest of my style.
