So, I've been screwing around here and there when I find time. Not much really but I figured I'd show.

detourne_me

YES YES YES! I'm loving them! should I send you the skope for Daredevil I had going too?

Outcast

Very very nice Daredevil. (and Iron Fist too!)

Told ya, you can make that muscle base of yours look right.  ;)

Podmark

It's looking pretty good, new base is looking pretty sharp.

Very nice work, Murs.

Might I just make a slight suggestion for Iron Fist.. maybe not make his face so stern. He's a goofball in comparison to Luke Cage.

Ok, I'll work on that. He's serious when he's fighting, for the most part, but I'll try and lighten him up a bit.

Another WIP:

It's looking good, but I find the green looks kinda dull, looks like it needs an extra opph!

I'm actually pretty happy with the color. But, I'll try giving it some more pop to see if I like it that.

deano_ue

some simple highlights would give it a kick, without taking over. the same could be said for the yellow. fantastic work on the bandages

AfghanAnt

I thought the colors were fine I'd add some shadow around the cuff of things like the belt and boots though.

I think that's what I was thinking, that or maybe just kick up the contrast a little.
The colour's not bad, I just tend to prefer brighter/vivider colours.
The bandages look nice.

It's shaping up real well. I really like the way the bandages came out.

I've got some minor tweaking to do before it's uploaded to CoF.

Awesome stuff! I love your attention to detail is incredible. I love how Cap's shield appears to be roughed up, like he's actually used it.

Nice, it has a really good defined look.
Does it come with a shake fist at TV animation?

Very cool Mursy...nice to see you skinning again. OK...so a lot of folks around here know this...I am a complete and total "nutball" when it comes to Captain America...he is without a doubt my favorite superhero so I'm always super excited to see more Cap skins. The work on the shield is really fantastic...and the scale work is really awesome but I'd "straighten off" the areas where the scale ends like you did around the neck. The mask seems darker than it should be though...in fact I'd "intensify" the blue all over Cap. I'm also not to sure about the studs on the belt though...it doesn't look right...oh and the ears need to be "out" and not under the mask. ;) Can't wait to download this bad boy Murs!
I can't help it that I look so good baby! I'm just a love machine!

This is mostly just personal preference...but I really dislike the feathered scalemail. It looks terrible on Cap in the comics as it does here. All I can think of is "Fred Flintstone" Captain America. And I have to agree with Cas on the belt and covered ears...neither look right on him.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence here. It always irritates me to see Cap's round shield damaged in anyway. To me the colours are part of the shields make up...and there are 3 constants in the Marvel Universe...Hulk is the strongest one there is, Captain America's shield is indestructible, and Wolverines claws can cut through anything (except Cap's shield :P).
Clothes make the man and colourful tights make the Super-Hero.

Fantastic work on Cap, Murs.. love the detail work especially the worn look of the shield (now the shield is indestructible but I doubt that the paint/coloring on it would last forever and need touch up work now and then).

Blkcasanova247

Hey wanna do both a "tarnished" and "untarnished" version? I have to agree with what Court says about the sheild...but I do like that look as well...when its done right. ;)

This was my exact train of thought when skinning the shield.

Cas, you nutball! I could include an alternate .tga of the shield for those that prefer it with a shiny new paint job.

I can't say I love one style of his chain-mail over the other. But since there wasn't a scale-mail version skinned, I decided to go that route. The blue of the costume I'll play with. I wanted the mail to be a different hue/brightness of blue than the rest of the costume.

The other choices were all personal preference. I think we all know my feelings on costume accuracy by now. Skinners can skin the characters the way they interpret them. Such as an artist would when drawing them.

Thanks for the comments and input guys. They are noted. ^_^

Blkcasanova247

I actually like the scalemail as well. I especially love Dave "devilpig" Johnson's take on it with the deep dark blue and the seams and piping.

I myself dont care too much for the scaled look on Cap, but thats kinda like a personal preference more than anything else.

As for the shield, eh, it doesnt look damaged in any way, but it does look dirty. Being the hardest thing on earth dont stop it from getting all dusty, you know.
